DANGEROUS GOODS AWARENESS COURSE

OVERVIEW

Dangerous Goods are materials or items with hazardous properties which, if not properly controlled, present a potential hazard to human health and safety, infrastructure and/or their means of transport.

It is important that everyone involved in transporting Dangerous Goods understands their responsibilities to help prevent and /or reduce damage to people and the environment.

This is and interactive classroom session designed for employees who are involved in packing, packaging, compliance and freight forwarding. The program provides drivers, owners, contractors, operators, awareness and the basic safety principals that must be followed to ensure the safe carriage of Dangerous Goods.

The classification and identification of the nine Classes and Sub Divisions of Dangerous Materials are broken down into easy to follow and understand segments.

This course is designed to comply with the National Transport Commission Australian Code for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by road & rail Edition 7.6 2018

In addition, there will be a short session on load restraint safety

All participants will receive a detailed certificate of completion, outlining material covered.
